Hi Ladies n’ Gents,
Today I want you guys to meet “The Shoe Divas” Tiffany n’ Tammy! Two young, beautiful, n’ fabulous entrepreneurs. Click below to read n’ get inspired by them…
1.Tell me about you girls n’ what you do
Tiffany- Well first we are sisters. I am a full time student and Tammy is an executive assistant. But we run Cultured Girl together. I handle the website and marketing, Tammy handles the financial side and we both collaborate on the buying process.
2. What inspired you to create cultured-girl.com?
Tammy- We wanted to open up a boutique for about 10 years now. We always said it but never did so, so this past summer we decided to just go for it. We came up with Cultured Girl while brainstorming through a bunch of names almost a decade ago. When we finally opened up the online boutique Cultured Girl is a name that stuck out to us.
3. Tell us about cultured-girl.com
Tiffany- Cultured-girl.com is an affordable trendy womens shoe boutique. We are inspired by high end designers and fashion; so we want to bring the hottest and trendiest shoes to the everyday Fashionista without her paying the high price tag. Since we are retailers we don’t design the shoes but we make sure to bring the best quality and styles to consumers.
4. Where do you want to take cultured-girl.com in the next few years?
Tammy- We hope that cultured-girl.com can continue to be a success. We want to expand our line and incorporate high end boutique styles as well. We also want to incorporate jewelry, handbags and other accessories.
5. What is your secret to being two successful African American young ladies?
Tiffany– The secret would be taking a risk. If you have a dream it’s not going to come to you, you have to go to it. Another factor is communication and being on the same page with one another. You have to be open to one another’s ideas. Also we realize one another’s strengths and we utilize them effectively. Also, it is good to laugh sometimes because a business is very serious; it balances everything out.
6. What has been your most challenging aspect of business so far?
Tammy– Initially, I would say the most challenging aspect of starting the business was getting people to know about cultured-girl.com and what we have to offer since we are a new site. However, a new business takes time to get off the ground and we never expected the great amount of success cultured-girl.com has had thus far.
7. What shop.cmichellestyles.com item could you pair with Halle?
Tiffany- Halle is not only the perfect red pump but it has cute gold and gunmetal studs around the platform and down the heel which means you can wear it with any color accessories from shop.cmichellestyles.com. You can pair Halle up with some cute bracelets like Glitz and Glam, Stormy, Classic Pearls or even Alpha. You can wear the Marilyn necklace and the Zoe ring together too! For gold earrings you can’t go wrong with Egypt or Star to accent the gold tone studs on Halle.
