Labor and Delivery Vlog

Recording this video means so much to me! Since family could not be there this is my way for them to be apart of our moment. NEVER did I imagine giving birth to my first child and MY MOTHER not being there! My mom is my best friend, my coach, my hype man and my strength! I wanted her in there getting me to together and I wanted the calm spirit of my DAD that always reassures me that everything will be alright! He brings me peace! I wanted my sister there to see it all happen! I witnessed her babies and we wanted that moment together for her to witness mine! Then I wanted to FT my brother/sis n love and show them there new nephew! I really wanted his family there to experience it and just be there not only for me but for him too! There’s nothing like having family by your side! I love our families so much and at first I thought I would not be able to do it without our village! But GOD showed me otherwise! HE let me know my family was there with me in spirit and physically, I am WAY STRONGER than I think and my partner and son was all the family I needed at that time! In that moment I grew up.

I had to pull strength from all different areas to make it happen. I had to realize that I am about to be a mom to! I need to be strong for him! Wow! I can’t believe he is here! Oh! see I knew I was forgetting something! On the way out all the nurses congratulated us. The part that made me cry was on the way out of the hospital doors where we checked in the staff stood and clapped for us! It was such a beautiful moment! One more thing! When we checked into the hospital we were the only family in triage and only one other family was in both L & D and Post Delivery! It was nice having the place to ourselves really.
