Hi Ladies n’ Gents,
Every city or state has there own rendition of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week n’ my wonderful city is one of them, Detroit. I am very proud Detroit Fashion Week has been created to showcase the creative n’ aspiring designers of n’ around the city. Detroit is a mecca for all things creative, we are a city who has truly embraced the arts with open arms. Not only did I find it imperative to support such a event but an obligation because I want to continue to see such positivity in my city. I abhor greatly seeing harsh n’ negative things about Detroit in the media so this is my way to shed some light…come find out who were my fav designers n’ what I thought over all about the event!
Detroit Fashion week was held on the Detroit Princess Boat for $35 a ticket.
My Ensemble for the night: Bar three Dress from Macys $13.80, Steve Madden Pumps $47, Faux Fur Willi Smith Coat $49.99 TJmaxx, Vintage Clutch $5.99= Roughly $120 I live by “Style Doesn’t Have To Be Expensive”
WARNING:
I am not a photographer! I snapped the photos the best I could! Please excuse the bluriness of some of the photos though they still look cool LOL. The runway was not elevated/tier seats so I could not get the entire ensemble for some of the photos. The following were some of my fav moments n’ pieces from there Spring/Summer 13 Collections that I could capture…
The Designer Diane Berry (left) n’ one of her models on the right!
Oh what a beauty…My Friends Arm Candy
Designer Camille Jeanay
The show was really good besides the late start, hopefully next year there will be more time for networking! I will be supporting this event next year n’ if you are in my city you should as well! I am so happy this was not an ensemble wasted! LOL So Tell Me…
*Besos*
Enjoyed your comments on Detroit Fashion Week but it seems you missed the Wednesday show which was a part of fashion week as well.
Thank you Deb! Next time I am going to try to make all the shows 🙂
Your hair looks super nice like this, especially draped over the faux fur coat. It’s really cool that they held this on a boat.
Thank you so much @ohtobeamuse
