“Food is the Gateway To The Soul”~C.Michelle
Hi Ladies n’ Gents,
I love eating savory n’ hearty food, with that being said I can even make a salad hearty! LOL…
Prep Time: 1 hour 30 mins ( I let the chicken marinate for a hour)
Cooking time: 15 mins
Serves: 6 (I purchased 2lbs of fresh chicken strips. Once cut n’ plated there were enough for seconds, I was preparing food for three)
Ingredients:
This salad takes no time to make, I usually coat the chicken in a little olive oil first then use the seasonings that are presented in the picture. Once that is done I let it set in the fridge for about an hour or so…
Ok so in many of my cooking posts you will see my handy dandy grill! I love using it because the clean up is SOOO easy n’ I love the texture that it gives to the food I cook. I got it at Macys on a one day sale for only $17.99 which is a great deal!
Steps:
1. Set the temperature of the grill to 350 degrees
2. Add about 2 tablespoons of evoo (or oil of your choice) to the grill
3. Add Chicken to the grill, cook on for about 7 minutes on each side
4. While your chicken is cooking you can begin to prepare your lettuce. Cut it up n’ rinse it with water. Now for those of you with salad spinners this would be the time to add the wet lettuce n’ spin-a-way. However, I am still debating if I want one, so I usually lay it to dry on paper towel. Some but it in a huge colander then set it on paper towel to dry, N E who, the choice is yours, lol
5. Cut up the chicken while it’s on the grill to ensure that it is done. Once you see that it’s done turn off the grill n’ continue cutting.
6. Begin Plating. Add the lettuce n’ the cheese of your choice (I choose Parmesan), then add your chicken n’ croutons! Bon Appetite
What do you like to prepare your Grilled Chicken Salad?
