Bridal Makeup Inspiration

Hi Ladies n’ Gents,

Bridal Makeup

If you follow me on Instagram (here) you will know that the majority of my clients are brides! I truly get the most joy seeing the bride fall in love with her makeup before she meets her love  confidently at the alter! I partnered with Lover.ly, a website for bridal inspiration to create a makeup look that would go well with a beautiful Gown…

Bridal Makeup

When most think of bridal makeup they think soft n’ natural or dramatic n’ different. I hardly get a bride in-between those two options lol. The most common thing my brides want is for there eyes to stand out! With the dress pictured above I would create a look with dramatic eyes n’ a soft lip for a little edge. When I saw this dress I immediately thought of the type of woman that would choose this dress. I thought she would be elegant, sophisticated, n’ chic. Why? because this dress speaks classic elegance, something from a fairy tale. I wanted to choose makeup that would compliment how romantic this dress is then also bring the attention to her eyes.

Lets start with the eyes…

With the Smashbox Full Exposure palette you can achieve both a soft natural look n’ a dramatic look all in one palette! That way you can condense your kit n’ save your back lol. Now, often times brides want some hint of color on there eyes from there color scheme. If they have electric blue in there wedding colors then this may not be what you want (even though I hope you would help stir the bride in the right direction that having bold colors like that may not photograph well but we do what they ask lol) to use but it is a good start.

For the lips…

The bride is usually considerate of her spouse! Most don’t want red lipstick all over there faces LOL. So I would suggest using products that are non transferable or sticking with a neutral shade like the one pictured above by YSL…

I think dramatic eyes with neutral soft pink lips will be gorge with this beautiful a-line gown. Don’t forget to check out Lover.ly for more gorgeous wedding dresses n’  inspiration. To see a full Bridal Makeup Tutorial click—>here
