Hi Ladies n’ Gents,
For a while now I have been thinking n’ finding that many companies do not make makeup for women with beautiful deep n’ rich complexions. I am troubled by that because those that do make them have RED UNDERTONES>>>
in which not all women with deeper complexions have. I have been looking into companies like, IMAN, MAKEUP FOREVER, M.A.C etc n’ they have proven to be good. However, finding a deeper shade in the drug store is a dream deferred. So Ladies n’ Gents, I am currently looking to expand my kit n’ experiment with new brands, can you recommend brands that you have seen or tried that work beautifully for woman of darker complexions?
Speak On IT!!! I cant wait to read your comments below
*Besos*
bobbi brown is perfect for darker skin
i cannot recommend it enough
Yeah. The only ones that I can think of are Black Opal, Black Radiance, and Iman for the drugstores. I’m too light for the Black-owned makeup companies so I go to Latina Bella, Urban Decay, MAC or Maybelline for my foundation needs =(
lol @Renee as long as we know the need is there its ok! Im sure the makeup you were is gorge!
black opal and i may be mistaken bt i think it was revlon
Thanks Chanale
Welcome to my life lol
My high end staples are MUFE HD in 180 (more red) and 178 (more golden) and my drugstore staple is Loreal Photoready in Mocha. The loreal DOES have a red undertone but I try to balance it out with a mineral powder. I wanted to try the Cappuccino which is the shade lighter and its more golden but I personally think it is too light for me. I’m thinking about mixing them to make my own custom blend.
Great Ideas! That’s one thing I love about MUFE they have shades of all colors!
Yep I’ve noticed it. I’m sorry but having one shade in “Deep” or “Dark” doesn’t cut it. There are some brands that do have a wide variety of shades like Bobbi Brown, Bare Minerals and Make Up Forever (to name a few). If you someone who doesn’t want to purchase “high end” products then you selection is limited. The Covergirl Queen Collection has a variety of shade but it very hard to find in stores. I did happen to find it in my Wal-mart.
Right JenJ, it doesn’t! I am a fan of BB! Thanks for the suggestions
