Meet The Star of Super Star Nail Lacquer…

I wanted to create a fashionable product for women around the world. I saw a lack of nail polish colors that matched the runway so I decided to create colors to go with what was hot for the season.

2. What are some of the biggest challenges you face being a young entrepreneur?

One of the biggest challenges I faced coming into the polish industry was establishing myself as a young business owner. Superstar Nail Lacquer started when I was 18 years old. I had to network and be in meetings with adults twice my age, so I have to know the ins and outs of my business. I had to become an expert at my craft.

3. What are your goals for 2011?

One of my goals for 2011 is to continue to make Superstar Nail Lacquer a global brand.

4. What else are you involved in that keeps you busy?

Well I am an author, speaker, and entrepreneur so that takes up most of my time. I go to class during the week, and travel during the weekends.

5. How do you balance everything? n’ still remain so fab?

I plan everything! I make sure to write down all my homework assignments, meetings, and events that I must attend so that I will not forget anything. I like to keep a certain image so I try to look my best at all times, even if I’m just going to class.

6. When are you done with school n’ what are your plans post graduation?I will be done with school within two years. My post graduation plans are to continue to work and grow my business. I also plan on going to graduate school.

7.  What would you tell a newbie that wants to start their own business?

I have a newbie 3 step program to starting a business:

1. Research your field! Know the ins and outs of what you want to do. You may discover that your not interested that field or you may totally fall in love with it.

2. Find a mentor in your field and follow their path. Learn from their failures and successes. When you follow in their footsteps,  you can avoid much wasted time.

3. Create a storyboard of your desired future. Paste pictures of the business you want to be in, where you want to travel, how much income you desire, and your future network. It is a proven fact that what you focus on you tend to go towards. So keep a positive image of your future in front of you.
