QofD: Blacks and Plastic Surgery?

GM Ladies and Gents,

There tends to be a new trend (or must a say a more “noticeable” trend) amongst African American men and woman going under the knife. Do you think it is pressure from mainstream America? Would you ever have work done?

Speak on IT!!!

It’s not a trend, black people are human too, so sometimes they are not comfortable with their bodies as white do. Plastic surgery is not good for anyone ( we need to accept ourselves like we are) but sometimes it helps people

I lost weight and now my chest look like shit (they are falling even with sport), and I think plastic surgery would help me to feel better

I would have to agree with Christina, I dont think getting a little “Nip and Tuck” is bad! I mean going to the levels of completely changing yourself is different but one surgery isnt so bad. The only thing is, I have been hearing of people becoming addicted to it! Which I hope never happens to anyone else.

I see alot of commments that are against plastic surgery, I for one am for it. I see nothing wrong with a little nip or tuck. Nene from the the Real Housewives of Atlanta recently got a nose job and I think she looks fabulous. I believe “everything in moderation” once you get to the point of “The Cat Woman” or Heidi Montag then you’ve gone to far.

no one needs plastic surgery. Unless its a life threatening problem that needs to be taken care of i don’t think ANYONE needs plastic surgery.

No need to go under the knife… FOR WHAT? God made me the way he intended, and if there is anything I feel need to be changed, if I cant do it from exercising or changing my lifestyle than no need for it to be changed

No way anyone of any skin color should have plastic surgery. God created all of us for all we look like. We shouldn’t have surgery to change who we are that we were orginally created.

ABSOLUTELY!!! But one thing that I am liking is that mainstream America is appreciating a more “well-endowed” woman. They are finally realizing that all woman are not pencil thin.
