QofD: Is it a lie?…

Hi Ladies n’ Gents,

I was  having a really good discuss with a friend, and she believes that it is a lie if someone keeps a secret. For example,
if her boyfriend talked to an ex-girlfriend and did not tell her about it before she asks when is the last time they talked, she considers that a lie! I call it keeping it a secret! I personally do not agree, it cant be a lie if you don’t know! However, I want to know you guys opinion?

Is it a lie if you keep a secret?

I don’t think it’s a lie either. Lack of information isn’t a lie although it still might hinder the relationship. 🙂

Good question. I know an individual that tends to keep “secrets”, I wouldn’t personally call them “lies” but “withholding information”. Now if you ask the individual about it and they then tell you something different than what happened, then it becomes a lie, which most individuals don’t like! But it happens *ks*
